How we met
Just over three years ago, fate (and a little help from Linesight) set something special in motion. In 2021, Kabrina made the move from Houston to Dallas for a new role at Linesight, ready to embrace the next chapter of her professional journey. At the exact same time, Patrick was asked to open a new Linesight office in Dallas—and just like that, two future soulmates unknowingly landed in the same city, working for the same company.
Over the first year, we crossed paths here and there—sharing a few friendly conversations and noticing some undeniable similarities. But dating at work? Definitely not the plan (unless, of course, it ends in marriage!).
Then, in October 2022, destiny decided to get creative. Kabrina accidentally signed up for a golf event and was randomly paired with Patrick. It was the first full day we'd ever spent together, and while sparks quietly flew, the timing just wasn’t quite right.
Fast forward 10 months to a run-in at a dive bar in Dallas. Neither of us expected much more than a friendly catch-up, but something shifted that night. We agreed to meet for dinner a few weeks later—just to be sure our connection wouldn’t complicate our work lives. Spoiler alert: it only made life sweeter.
One more trip for Patrick and a real first date later, Kabrina came home with him—and as Patrick likes to joke, she never left.
From a surprise golf pairing

spontaneous bar encounter
we’ve learned that love has a funny way of finding you... especially when you least expect it.
The proposal
Thanksgiving 2024 — We set out on a multi-day road trip from Salt Lake City to Phoenix for what Kabrina knew would be a meaningful adventure—but with just enough mystery left to keep her guessing. Patrick had shared his intentions for the trip in broad strokes, but the when and how? That remained his secret.
One of our stops was the stunning Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah, where we stayed in a glass-domed igloo, sleeping under the stars in the quiet of the desert. We both knew we wanted this moment—our moment—to be just for us. Private, peaceful, and personal.
As dawn began to paint the sky, Patrick gently nudged Kabrina awake to watch the sunrise together, something we’ve always shared a quiet love for. Kabrina, not quite ready to leave dreamland, needed a few extra nudges (and maybe some soft pleading). Eventually, we laid there side by side, taking in the first light over the canyon, wrapped in blankets and stillness.
Then, without realizing the weight of her words, Kabrina whispered, “I could do this forever.”
Patrick smiled, stepped around the bed, knelt down, and asked her to do just that.
Notre amour de la Côte d'Azur*
June 2024 — A work trip brought Patrick to Cannes, and it didn’t take much convincing for Kabrina to turn it into a getaway for two. Within hours of landing, we found ourselves completely swept up in the charm of the Côte d’Azur—the golden light, the sea breeze, the slow magic of Southern France.
At one point, Kabrina joked that she’d be happy marrying Patrick in the living room of our home. Ever the romantic (and always thinking one step bigger), Patrick casually replied, “Why not get married in the South of France?”
Honestly, who could say no to that?
The first time we came across Domaine Rocabella—even just through an online brochure—we instantly felt it. That was the place. The one that felt like us. It was effortless, elegant, and full of light. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our love with the people who mean the most to us.
